Toffee Krispies
(20 x 30 cms/8" x 12" shallow tin)
Ingredients
- 110g./4 ozs. butter
- 110g./4 ozs. dairy toffees
- 110g./4 ozs. marshmallows
- 175g/6 ozs. Rice Krispies
Method
- Put the first 3 ingredients into a large pan. Put the pan on to the Aga
simmering plate and melt, stirring constantly.
- Remove the saucepan from the simmering plate, and tip the Rice Krispies
into the melted mixture.
- Stir the Krispies thoroughly so that all of them are well coated with the
mixture.
- Tip the contents of the saucepan into the buttered tin.
- Press the mixture down, and smooth it level with a palette knife.
- Leave the tin in a cool place to set, and then cut into squares and store
in an airtight tin.
